Measuring in maths

In maths we have measured our partners height. 

The children chose what equipment and method they would like to use to measure their partners. 

Some children chose to use 1m rulers and blu-tack whereas other used a tape measure. 

Science from the past few weeks

We have done lots of practical work in Science.
We looked at rocks and used a Venn diagram to categorise them.

Then we tested soils.

We used our senses to follow a branching database to see what type of soil we had. 

Now we have moved onto fossils. 

We used adjectives to describe the fossils brought in. We did a round robin where everyone got to see all the fossils. 

YEAR 3 2015

Last week we look at solving maths problems in groups.

We focused on communicating with each other and what language to use when interacting to come up with a solution.
